Born on December 30, 1965, he served as the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation under Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. His political journey began during his college years as a student leader. In addition to his roles in politics and sports, he has held significant positions within the Nepal Olympic Committee and is also the president of the Nepal Ski Association. He grew up in a middle-class family in Kathmandu.
