Jeff Halper is an American-born anthropologist, author, and political activist who has lived in Israel since 1973. He is the former director of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions. Halper has written extensively on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, advocating for peaceful solutions. He supports the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, labeling it as guilty of apartheid. In 1997, he co-founded the International Solidarity for the Palestinian People, rebuilding demolished Palestinian homes. In 2013, he initiated a global campaign promoting a fair and sustainable world system.
