Jeff McWaters is an American businessman and political figure, born on September 6, 1956. He served as a Republican member of the Virginia Senate, representing the 8th district, including parts of Virginia Beach. He was first elected in January 2010 during a special election and was re-elected in 2011, serving a total of six years until 2015. In addition to his political career, McWaters is the founder and former CEO of Amerigroup, a managed health care organization based in Virginia Beach.
