Jeff Rich (born June 8, 1953, Hackney, London) is an English rock drummer, known for being the former drummer for the band Status Quo. He studied at Upton House Secondary School and performed in Tosca at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. In August 1986, he assisted Def Leppard during a difficult time for their drummer, Rick Allen. Rich joined Status Quo in 1985, replacing Pete Kircher, and left in 2000 after 15 years due to stress and family commitments. He currently teaches rhythm in UK schools and plays with the tribute band Steller.
