Jenifer Estess was a theatre producer and actor born in Moline, Illinois, on February 17, 1963. A graduate of New York University, she co-founded the Naked Angels theatre company and was its producing director until 1993. She was instrumental in establishing the Nantucket Film Festival and the New York Women's Film Festival. Estess authored a memoir published posthumously, and her life was depicted in a TV movie. She also founded Project ALS, raising significant funds for ALS research, and advocated for stem cell research to aid the fight against the disease.
