She graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese and a master's in journalism and communication. Chan began her career at CTV and later worked at Apple Daily. Notably, she joined ATV as a news anchor and subsequently moved to TVB. In 2011, she made headlines for mispronouncing a Chinese leader's name, which went viral, leading to her apology on Weibo. Chan left TVB in 2012 and began working for the newspaper '爽報'.
