Jenny Marie Ingeborg Kammersgaard (1918-1997) was a renowned Danish long-distance swimmer known for her remarkable swims in Denmark and the Kattegat. Her achievements include swimming 18 km from Snaptun to Horsens in 1936, and a 29-hour swim across Kattegat in 1937, which earned her international fame. She set a Danish record by swimming 110 km from Gedser to Warnemünde in 1938. Kammersgaard was also an advocate of cold water swimming and was educated as a swimming instructor in Berlin.
