Jens P. Heyerdahl is a Norwegian lawyer and businessman born in 1943. He served as the CEO of Orkla ASA until 2001, succeeding Finn Jebsen. Heyerdahl has an MBA from INSEAD in France and was once among Norway's top show jumpers. He joined Orkla in 1975 and became CEO in 1979. Under his leadership, Orkla expanded internationally and diversified its operations, particularly after merging with Borregaard in 1986. By the time he left Orkla, the company had grown significantly from a few hundred employees and 300 million kr in revenue to 35,000 employees and 45 billion kr in revenue.
