Jeremy D. Safran was a Canadian-born American clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. Born on April 23, 1952, he had a significant career in psychotherapy research and was a professor at the New School for Social Research. He directed clinical training there and was involved with New York University’s postdoctoral program in psychoanalysis. Safran co-founded The Sandor Ferenczi Center and served as past-president of The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. He passed away on May 7, 2018.
