Jeremy Vargas Sagastegui was an American man convicted of three counts of aggravated first-degree murder for the brutal killings of Kievan Sarbacher, a 3-year-old boy, and his mother, Melissa Sarbacher, along with her friend, Lisa Vera-Acevedo. The murders took place on November 19, 1995, in Finley, Washington, where Sagastegui was babysitting. He subsequently sexually abused and drowned Kievan and shot the two women when they returned home. He was executed by lethal injection on October 13, 1998, at the age of 27.
