Jerónimo Saavedra Acevedo (July 3, 1936 - November 21, 2023) was a Spanish politician who served as President of the Canary Islands from 1982 to 1987 and again from 1991 to 1993. He was a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and had various roles including Secretary General of the PSOE in the Canary Islands, a deputy in the Spanish Congress, and a senator. He also served as the mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 2007 to 2011 and the Ombudsman of the Canary Islands until 2018.
