Jerry Hodak, born on April 11, 1942, is a former chief meteorologist for ABC's Detroit affiliate, WXYZ-TV. He graduated from local schools and studied mass communications at Wayne State University. After beginning his career in Orlando, Hodak returned to Detroit in 1965 as a weathercaster and later worked at WXYZ-TV and WJBK-TV. Awarded a local Emmy and recognized by the American Meteorological Society, he retired from WXYZ-TV in 2010, having made significant contributions to Michigan's journalism and meteorology.
