Jerzy Szotmiller was a Polish Old Catholic bishop born on February 20, 1933, in Warsaw and passed away on July 31, 2011, in Częstochowa. He was ordained a priest in 1961 and served in the Polish National Catholic Church in Brazil from 1975 to 1976. He was consecrated as the bishop of the Diocese of Cracovia-Częstochowa in 1979 and retired in 2003. He resumed the role of apostolic administrator from 2004 to 2005. In 2009, he celebrated the 30th anniversary of his episcopal ordination in a solemn mass.
