Jesper Krogedal was a Norwegian emissary, woodcarver, singer, and hymn writer born on January 15, 1911, in Ganddal, Sandnes. He was associated with the Norwegian Lutheran Mission League and served as the district chairman for the Stavanger district from 1964 to 1967. Krogedal wrote several well-known hymns, including 'Kor stort min Gud,' 'Eg ville gjerne eiga,' 'Verda treng Kristus,' and 'Takk at vi nå kan gå mett fra vårt bord.' He passed away on October 13, 1986.
