Jesse Raymond Walters Jr. is a former justice of the Idaho Supreme Court who served from 1997 to 2003. He was born on December 26, 1938, in Rexburg, Idaho. After graduating high school, he earned a bachelor's degree and a J.D. from the University of Idaho. Walters began his legal career by clerking at the Idaho Supreme Court and then entered private practice. He was appointed as a state judge in 1977 and became the first chief judge of the Idaho Court of Appeals. He retired from the Supreme Court in 2003.
