Jessica Schiefauer is a Swedish author born on August 20, 1978, in Kungälv, Sweden. Her debut novel, 'Om du var jag', was published in 2009. Schiefauer gained recognition for her works in children's and young adult literature, winning the August Prize in 2011 for 'Pojkarna' and again in 2015 for 'När hundarna kommer'. The latter also won the Spårhunden Prize, awarded for the best children's or young adult detective novel. 'Pojkarna' has been adapted into both a stage play and a film.
