Jessie Valentine (née Anderson) was a prominent Scottish amateur golfer, noted for her victories in the British Ladies Amateur in 1937, 1955, and 1958. She held the title of world number one after her 1937 win at Turnberry, marking her as a significant figure in women's golf during a period that extended from the mid-1930s to the mid-1950s. In 1959, she became the first woman golfer to receive an MBE for her contributions to the sport and was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. Nicknamed 'Wee Jessie' and the 'Queen of Golf', she is regarded as one of Perthshire's greatest sports personalities.
