Jesús Castro Agúndez was a Mexican teacher and politician born on January 17, 1906, in El Rosarito, Baja California Sur. He trained as a primary education teacher in Mexico City before returning to his home state to take on various educational roles, including school inspector and director of education. He significantly contributed to rural education and public works. In 1974, he became one of the first senators for Baja California Sur after it was elevated to statehood, serving until 1976. He also held various positions within the government and the PRI.
