Jesús Evaristo Casariego y Fernández-Núñez (November 7, 1913 - September 16, 1990) was a Spanish writer and publisher, known especially during the early to mid-Franco era. He authored around 60 books and pamphlets, primarily popular and semi-scientific works on history, and was mainly recognized as a novelist, most notably for 'Con la vida se hace fuego' (1953). He managed the hardline Francoist newspaper El Alcázar in the early 1940s and was also an active Carlist in his youth, later considered a secondary literature author and an expert on Asturian culture and history.
