Jesús Germán Faría Tortosa is a Venezuelan economist and politician born on April 12, 1964, in Caracas. He is currently a deputy in the National Assembly of Venezuela and previously served in the National Constituent Assembly in 2017. Faría, a prominent PSUV leader, is the son of historical Communist Party of Venezuela leader Jesús Faría. He has been a professor of political economy and held various governmental positions, including Deputy Minister of Social Security and Minister of Foreign Trade and International Investment.
