Jesús María García Calderón is a Spanish poet, writer, and jurist born on August 10, 1959, in Badajoz. In 2001, he was appointed chief prosecutor of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia. He served as the director of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Granada from 2015 to 2019, and he has also presided over its Commission of Monuments. In 2015, he was named an adoptive son of the province of Granada.
