Jesús Almiro Ugas Nicorsin was a Venezuelan painter, sculptor, and art teacher born on April 14, 1943, in Yoco, Sucre state. His artistic work spans painting, sculpture, graphic arts, and bookbinding, characterized by styles including Postmodernism, Abstract Expressionism, and Hyperrealism, as well as experimentation with Pop Art. Throughout his career, he maintained a personal interpretation of each style, identified with the symbols of the old school until his death on March 21, 1992, in Maracay. His art was noted for its depth and constant innovation.
