Jette Hvidtfeldt is a Danish journalist and author born on January 31, 1950. She trained at the Danish School of Journalism and Ritzaus Bureau, starting her career in 1971. After working freelance in Brussels from 1977 to 1980, she returned to Denmark to continue as a freelancer before joining DR in 1984 until 1999. Hvidtfeldt has since been a freelance journalist and media consultant and co-owns the company Rugaard and Hvidtfeldt. In her later years, she has authored several political biographies and served as chair of the Knowledge Center for Gender Equality until its closure in 2002.
