This self-published work narrates her journey from being a poor child vendor in the Philippines to achieving success as an immigrant in Canada. After her book's release, she gained recognition from People Asia Magazine as one of the 2005 People of the Year in the Philippines. Additionally, she received an Honorable Mention for Best Non-Fiction Book at the Independent Publisher Award in Western Canada.
