Jhoon Rhee (January 7, 1932 – April 30, 2018) was a Korean-American taekwondo practitioner known as the 'father of American taekwondo.' He introduced taekwondo to the United States upon immigrating in the 1950s. Rhee was a 10th dan black belt and held the prestigious title of Grandmaster. His contributions significantly popularized taekwondo, influencing many practitioners and shaping the martial arts landscape in America.
