James Allen Cox, born on December 21, 1946, is a former American football tight end known for playing 13 games with the Miami Dolphins in 1968. He attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida, and went on to play collegiate football at the University of Miami. Cox's contributions to both schools have been recognized as he has been inducted into their respective Hall of Fames. He is married to Grace Cox and they have two daughters and six grandchildren.
