Jim Germany, born on February 2, 1953, is a former star running back in the CFL. He played college football at New Mexico State University and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 1994. Drafted by the NFL's St. Louis Cardinals in 1975, he instead joined the Edmonton Eskimos in Canada. Throughout his seven-year career (1977-1983), he was part of a successful team that won 5 Grey Cups and rushed for over 1,000 yards thrice. His notable achievements include tying a CFL record with 18 rushing touchdowns in 1981.
