James Joseph Graves is an American businessman, notable for founding the AmericInn hotel franchise and competing for a congressional seat in Minnesota's 6th district in 2012. He graduated from St. Cloud State University and initially worked as a teacher before establishing his hotel brand in 1979. Under his leadership, AmericInn expanded significantly, and he co-founded Graves Hospitality Corporation in 1993. His Graves 601 Hotel has received accolades as one of the world's top accommodations. Graves' congressional campaign was competitive, losing by a narrow margin despite limited funding.
