James Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo is a prominent Nigerian businessman and politician, who served as the governor of Anambra State from 1979 to 1983 during Nigeria's Second Republic. He later held the position of Senator for the Enugu East Senatorial District from 1999 to 2003. Nwobodo also attempted to run for the presidency in Nigeria in 2003, although he was not successful in that endeavor. His political career has been influential in the southeastern region of Nigeria.
