James Charles William Parrott was a Canadian politician and former heart surgeon who represented Fundy-River Valley in the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly after being elected in 2010. Initially a member of the Progressive Conservative Party, he became an independent MLA following disputes over health care and bilingualism policies. Parrott sought re-nomination for the Progressive Conservatives in 2014 but lost the subsequent election in the riding of Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West. He passed away on October 4, 2016, at the age of 74 after health issues.
