James Eric Stevenson, born on January 14, 1947, is a British child psychologist and Emeritus Professor of Developmental Psychopathology at the University of Southampton. He specializes in research concerning behavior problems in children, particularly attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and reading disabilities. Stevenson was the founding editor of the Annual Research Review issue for the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry and later held the position of editor for the journal itself.
