Jimmy Ashworth, born James M. Ashworth on April 8, 1957, is a former British marathon runner. He finished second in the Berlin Marathon in 1983 with a time of 2:14:01. In 1984, he placed seventh in the London Marathon and second in the Miami Marathon. Ashworth achieved his personal best of 2:11:43 when he won the Berlin Marathon in 1985, setting a course record nearly two minutes faster than the previous one. His half marathon best of 1:02:24 was recorded in 1986 at the Great North Run, where he finished fourth.
