Jin Satō is a Japanese politician born on December 24, 1951. He has served as the mayor of Minamisanriku Town in Miyagi Prefecture for five terms. Throughout his career, he has also held positions such as a member of the Shizugawa Town Council and mayor of Shizugawa Town. Notably, he coordinated the merger with Utatsu Town and became the first mayor of the newly established Minamisanriku Town. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, he was trapped in a municipal office that was overwhelmed by a tsunami but managed to survive.
