Jirō Kinjō was a renowned potter from Tsuboya, Naha, Japan, born on December 3, 1912. He is celebrated as one of the 'Three Potters of Tsuboya' along with Kobashigawa Eishō and Aragaki Eisaburō. In 1985, he made history by becoming the first Okinawan to receive the title of Living National Treasure. Kinjō was particularly known for his unique pottery that depicted fish and crustaceans, showcasing the rich marine life of Okinawa.
