Previously, he served as the Minister of State for the Human Resource Department in India. Prasada represented the Dhaurahra constituency in the 15th Lok Sabha, winning by a significant margin. In June 2021, he left the Indian National Congress to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, marking a significant shift in his political career.
