Jo-Ann Strauss is a South African model, television personality, and businesswoman born on February 3, 1981, in Cape Town. She was crowned Miss South Africa in 2000 and represented the country at the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico in 2001, as well as competing in Miss World in South Africa. She started her media career on the Afrikaans television show Pasella and later hosted interviews on the English lifestyle program Top Billing. Strauss also participated in Big Brother South Africa and co-hosted the opening ceremony for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
