Josephine Vallentine, born on May 30, 1946, is an Australian peace activist and former politician serving as a senator for Western Australia. She began her tenure in the Senate on July 1, 1985, after being elected as a member of the Nuclear Disarmament Party. Vallentine later sat as an independent before joining the Greens Western Australia on July 1, 1990. Her senatorial career concluded when she resigned on January 31, 1992.
