Joakim 'Jocke' Ekberg is a Swedish drummer born on March 19, 1965, in Uppsala. He has collaborated with numerous artists including Ernie Watts, Kenny Barron, and Georgie Fame. Besides performing, Ekberg is an educator, teaching drums and methodology since 1993 at the University of Music in Piteå and Framnäs Folk High School. He has worked not only in Sweden but also in the USA, Japan, China, Norway, the Netherlands, Finland, and Denmark.
