Joan L. Hester (née Goshorn) was an American politician from Iowa. Born on November 20, 1932, in Persia, Iowa, she was a Republican who served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1985 to 1995. During her tenure, she represented the 98th district (1985-1993) and the 82nd district (1993-1995). Hester was married to Jack W. Hester, a former member of the Iowa State Senate. She passed away at the age of 86 on November 19, 2019.
