Joan Peñarroya Rodríguez is a Catalan basketball coach and former player born on April 20, 1969, in Terrassa. He played as a forward and transitioned to coaching after retiring as a player. He began his coaching career with CB Olesa and Navàs in EBA league before making his LEB Plata debut in the 2010/11 season. Peñarroya achieved notable success at Pirineu, leading them to ACB league promotion in 2014 and continuing as their coach for nine seasons. In 2018, he returned to Baxi Manresa, achieving playoff qualification for the first time in 21 years.
