Joan Teixidor i Comes was a Catalan writer and editor born on April 8, 1913, in Olot, and he passed away on January 10, 1992, in Barcelona. He was a founding member of Quaderns de Poesia and the magazine Destino. In 1935, he published L'Antologia and co-founded the publishing house Destino with Josep Vergés i Matas in 1942. Teixidor served as the president of the Joan Miró Foundation from 1975 to 1981 and regularly contributed to various media outlets including La Publicitat and Art.
