João Alfredo Rangel de Araújo was a Brazilian entrepreneur and music producer born in Rio de Janeiro on July 2, 1935. He founded the record label Som Livre and played a significant role in the emergence of several renowned artists in Brazilian popular music. He was also the father of the famous singer and songwriter Cazuza. Araújo passed away in Rio de Janeiro on November 30, 2013.
