João Siqueira Santos, also known as Seu Ioiô, was born on April 25, 1909, in Vila do Cumbe, Brazil, and died on August 25, 2007, in Euclides da Cunha. He was one of the last oral historians on Antônio Conselheiro and the War of Canudos. A teacher and amateur historian, he shared stories from his family about the war. After retiring, he became a storyteller, attracting tourists and historians. He was married to Izabel Abreu and had a daughter named Ederlinda.
