He began his musical education at the age of seven and composed his first sardana at the age of seventeen. During the Spanish Civil War, he led a small musical group and created works that became significant, including '10,000 Catalans' and 'Catalans a l'Alcàrria.' His music maintained a cultural identity amidst conflict, but he faced imprisonment for his separatist themes. After the war, he continued to compose over three hundred sardanas, contributing to Catalan cultural heritage.
