Joaquín Madurga Oteiza was a Spanish priest and composer, born on January 24, 1938, in Dicastillo, Navarra, Spain. He is best known for his creation of the 'Jota de San Fermín', a song that has been sung during the procession of San Fermín in Pamplona since 1977. His contributions to music are celebrated, particularly during the fiesta of San Fermín, which takes place on July 7 each year. He passed away in Logroño on June 9, 2017.
