Jocelyn Dow is a human rights activist and entrepreneur from Guyana, born in January 1951 in New Amsterdam. She founded the women's development organization Red Thread and co-led the Women's Environment & Development Organization. Dow established Liana Cane Interiors, a sustainable manufacturing company, in the early 1970s. She has significantly contributed to environmental sustainability and women's rights, serving as Chair of the Guyana Forestry Commission and on various advisory panels. Additionally, she participated in international efforts for sustainable development and women's empowerment.
