Frederick James 'Jock' Granter was an Australian politician born on March 6, 1921, in Gardenvale. He served as a bank officer and in the AIF during World War II. After marrying Helena Ferrier Thomas in 1949, he shifted to farming and became involved in the Liberal Party. He was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council in 1964, serving various ministerial roles until retiring in 1988. Granter passed away on May 14, 2012.
