Jody Scott, born Joann Margaret Huguelet Scott Wood on January 13, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, was an American author known for her science fiction parodies. Her notable work, 'Passing for Human', was the first book in a trilogy, and was translated into German as 'Fast wie ein Mensch'. The second book, 'I, Vampire', tells the love story between the female vampire O’Blivion and an alien named Benaroya. The final book, 'Devil-May-Care', was published posthumously in 2016. She passed away on December 24, 2007, in Seattle, Washington.
