Joseph Stephen "Joe" Kodba was an American football player and coach, born on February 27, 1922, in Yugoslavia. He played as a center and linebacker, featuring for Butler and Purdue in college football. As a veteran, he served as a paratrooper in World War II. Kodba had a brief professional career with the Baltimore Colts in the AAFC during the 1947 season and later transitioned to coaching at Fort Wayne North Side High School and as an assistant at Niagara University. He dedicated a significant portion of his life to teaching after his coaching career.
