Joseph Tait was an American sports broadcaster known for his extensive career as the play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA, and for both radio and television coverage of the Cleveland Indians in Major League Baseball. He began announcing for the Cavaliers in 1970 and continued until the 2010–11 season, with few interruptions due to illness and a brief hiatus in the early '80s. Tait was honored with the Curt Gowdy Media Award by the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
